# Lazio-Al Saad talks for Romagnoli ongoing

Negotiations for the defender's move to Qatar remain stalled by bureaucracy and a change of coach, despite everything being agreed upon in terms of figures. Ahead of the Serie A match against Genoa, the situation regarding the 31-year-old remains tense. The Roman is a childhood Lazio supporter who agreed to halve his yearly salary to €3 million in 2022, but the relationship with president Claudio Lotito has deteriorated over time.

The move is reportedly on hold due to a change in Al-Sadd management, the death of the former Emir leading to national mourning, and new regulations tightening restrictions on foreign players in the Qatari league.
