England squad organises team dinner in Miami before Kansas City deployment

England's squad arrived at West Palm Beach on 1 June and underwent intensive training sessions in the searing heat and humidity that will characterise their World Cup campaign. After a behind-closed-doors 1-0 win over Miami United and a 3-0 victory against Costa Rica, Thomas Tuchel permitted his players a day-and-a-half respite.

Not all players headed to Miami—some remained near the training base. The camp maintained a relaxed atmosphere: golf rounds after training sessions, families permitted access. Five-time Major champion Brooks Koepka joined the squad on the course, while European Ryder Cup stalwart Ian Poulter visited following the Costa Rica match.

Kansas City will see a dramatic tightening. Free time away from the team hotel will be restricted, with preparation becoming the sole priority. Family access will remain possible but within strict parameters. At half-time against New Zealand, Tuchel made his expectations unmistakable, voicing clear displeasure at what he viewed as an underwhelming first-half display in a laboured 1-0 win.

England's opening World Cup fixture against Croatia is set for 17 June. From Kansas City onward, the squad's focus narrows entirely to tournament glory.
