Vice President of Ghana, Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, visited the Black Stars at their team hotel in Toronto on Tuesday, delivering a morale-boosting message ahead of their World Cup campaign. The visit was accompanied by Ghana's Chief Justice Baffoe Bonnie, High Commissioner to Canada Dora Francisca Edu-Buandoh, and representatives of Ghana's traditional leadership.

Addressing the players and coaching staff, the Vice President conveyed President John Dramani Mahama's support for the squad. "The entire nation is behind you. Go out there and make Ghana proud," she told the team, emphasizing the importance of demonstrating discipline, unity, and determination as they begin their tournament.

Ghana Football Association President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku welcomed the delegation, stating: "The presence of such a distinguished delegation shows how important this team is to the nation. We are grateful and the players are motivated to deliver."

Ghana faces Panama at 7:00 p.m. ET on Wednesday, June 17, at BMO Field in Toronto, marking the start of their Group L campaign. This is Ghana's fifth appearance at the FIFA World Cup.
