Manzambi brace fires Switzerland past Bosnia 4-1

Switzerland defeated Bosnia-Herzegovina 4-1 in Group A on Thursday, with substitute Johan Manzambi scoring twice late in the match to deliver a decisive victory and edge closer to direct knockout qualification.

Murat Yakin, Switzerland's manager, praised his team's patience and execution. "We deserved the three points. We showed patience and scored at the right moment. Djaka was the conductor on the pitch – after recent criticism, it is important that he led us to victory," Yakin said.

Bosnia coach Ivan Barbaez remained defiant despite the loss. "I would fix the situation with the first goal or the red card if I could. You cannot surrender. We will prepare for the Qatar match," Barbaez stated.

Switzerland's commanding display may tighten their knockout odds, while Bosnia now faces a must-win scenario against Qatar to keep their tournament hopes alive.
