Napoli are exploring an exchange formula to acquire Lazio defender Mario Gila. The club is offering striker Lorenzo Lucca, currently on loan at Nottingham Forest, plus cash to bridge the valuation gap.

Lazio value Gila at €30 million, a figure Napoli consider excessive given the defender's contract expires in June 2027. The Spanish centre-back is understood to be keen on joining Napoli.

Incoming Napoli coach Massimiliano Allegri holds pole position in negotiations. AC Milan and Bournemouth have also expressed interest in Gila, though Napoli's structure appears advantageous.

Gila's addition to Napoli's backline could strengthen defensive capability and potentially improve their Serie A title odds if negotiations conclude successfully before the season begins.
