Mexico goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa has announced he will retire from international football after the conclusion of the 2026 World Cup.

Ochoa said: "My time in the national team is coming to an end, and I don't see reasons to play anymore. I'm leaving with a calm soul and with my head held high."

The announcement comes during the tournament's group stage, marking the end of an era for Mexico and closing the chapter on Ochoa's World Cup participation.
