Partey available for England showdown with visa resolved

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey is available to play against England in Boston on Tuesday after confirming his US visa. Canadian authorities refused him entry for Ghana's opening World Cup match against Panama in Toronto on June 19 due to ongoing legal proceedings.

The Football Association will leave England's players to decide whether to shake hands with Partey during the pre-match ceremony. Partey will face two former Arsenal teammates: Declan Rice and Bukayo Saka, who now play for England.

Partey has denied all seven counts of rape and one sexual assault charge, with trial scheduled for Southwark Crown Court in 2027. Ghana coach Carlos Queiroz said Partey should be presumed innocent, stating "Let events run their normal course, let the river flow and one day we will find the truth."

Betting impact: Partey's midfield presence may strengthen Ghana's attacking options, potentially affecting Asian Handicap and match result odds against England's pre-match favourite status.
