Tottenham right-back Pedro Porro has committed to a new long-term contract keeping him at Spurs through 2031, extending his commitment by approximately six additional seasons. The 26-year-old Spanish defender was previously set to enter the final years of his existing agreement due to expire in 2025.
Porro joined Spurs on loan from Sporting CP in January 2023 with an obligation to make the transfer permanent in summer 2023 for €40 million. Over three-and-a-half years at the club, he has made 152 appearances across all competitions, including 47 appearances during the 2025-26 season—more than any other player in Roberto De Zerbi's squad.
Manager De Zerbi praised Porro's work ethic and football intelligence: "As well as his technical quality, I also love his mentality. Every day he wants to work, to learn and to improve." Sporting director Johan Lange noted that Porro's progress has established him as one of the best full-backs in the game, with the defender preparing for World Cup action with Spain.
Contract extensions for regular starters at top clubs can enhance squad stability perceptions in betting markets, particularly for players featured prominently at major tournaments.
