Brazil forward Raphinha suffered a repeat hamstring injury during the second-round World Cup match against Haiti on June 20. The injury occurred in the 40th minute, forcing him to leave the pitch and receive medical assistance. Brazil won the match 3-0.
According to Spanish journalist Javi Hernández Navarro, the repeat nature of the injury means Raphinha will likely not play again in the World Cup 2026. The Brazilian Confederation of Football (CBF) has confirmed the hamstring damage.
The injury also casts doubt on Raphinha's scheduled summer transfer from Barcelona, with Saudi club Al-Hilal previously expressing interest in the winger.
Raphinha's tournament exit significantly depletes Brazil's left-side attacking options; odds on Brazil's remaining group-stage and knockout fixtures may shift to reflect reduced offensive potency.
