AC Milan is reportedly taking a patient approach in their pursuit of Benfica defender Antonio Silva. Despite reports suggesting Milan's interest in the Portuguese international, the club is said to be "in no hurry" to finalize a deal.
Silva, 23, is entering the final year of his contract, which is set to expire in the summer of 2027. Benfica is keen to offer him an improved contract to retain his services, with newly-appointed coach Marco Silva reportedly counting on the center-back for the 2026-27 season.
While initial reports suggested Milan could secure Silva for around €20m, Benfica is reportedly unwilling to sell at that price. Milan remains unconcerned, believing that if Silva does not agree to new terms, Benfica may be compelled to accept offers or risk losing him as a free agent next year. Milan aims to add at least one new defender this summer.
