Andoni Iraola begins tenure as Liverpool head coach

New Liverpool head coach Andoni Iraola has officially arrived at the club's AXA Training Centre. The squad and staff are scheduled to report for pre-season training on July 14, giving the Spaniard just over a month to implement his tactical vision before the Premier League opener against Newcastle United on August 23.

Iraola will be supported by first-team coaches Tommy Elphick and Shaun Cooper, as well as assistant coach Pablo de la Torre, all of whom worked with him at Bournemouth. The coaching staff is expected to prioritize high-intensity, aggressive football, consistent with Iraola's previous managerial style.

The transition includes a revamped backroom staff and a focus on individual player assessments. Iraola is known for his active involvement in training drills, often refereeing mini-games to ensure players adapt quickly to his tactical demands.
