Atlético Madrid has reportedly opened negotiations with Club Brugge for the transfer of 21-year-old striker Nicolò Tresoldi, with a potential deal valued at €30 million. Tresoldi, who turns 22 next month, is eligible to represent either Italy or Germany, having been born in Cagliari and raised in Germany.
Despite representing Germany at various youth levels, scoring 12 goals in 24 caps for the Under-21 side, Tresoldi has not yet made a final decision on his senior international allegiance. He joined Club Brugge a year ago from Hannover 96 for €7.5 million, making a significant impact with 23 goals and nine assists in 58 competitive games.
Como and Bayer Leverkusen are also reportedly interested in the striker, following earlier links to AC Milan and Arsenal.
