Celtic have reached an agreement with SC Paderborn midfielder Mika Baur on personal terms, with club-to-club negotiations currently underway to finalize the transfer.
The 22-year-old German international is closing in on a switch to Parkhead, pending successful discussions between the two clubs. Standing at 1.72m, Baur is a versatile central or attacking midfielder known for his technical ability and goal-scoring threat.
Born on 9 July 2004 in Salem, the both-footed player previously featured for SC Freiburg II and spent a loan spell at Dynamo Dresden. He has established himself as a rising star in German football, contributing goals and assists during his time in the Bundesliga.
During the 2025/2026 season, Baur made 24 appearances for Paderborn, scoring four goals and providing three assists. The transfer is estimated to be worth approximately €5 million.
His impressive performances earned him a late call-up to the Germany U21 squad in late 2025, highlighting his growing reputation in the national setup.
