DR Congo coach Sébastien Désabre has previewed his team's World Cup Round of 16 match against England, emphasizing readiness for any scenario, including a penalty shootout.
"We are professionals and have practiced penalties. We won by penalties in the last Africa Cup of Nations against Nigeria and Côte d'Ivoire. We are fully committed to this challenge, and we are not here as tourists," said Désabre.
DR Congo, ranked 41st in the world, will face England, the fourth-ranked team, on July 1, 2026, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta.
