Former Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund centre‑back Niklas Süle has announced his decision to come out of retirement and sign for SV Tiefenbach, an eighth‑tier German club.
Süle, 30, ended his professional career at the close of the 2025/26 season before deciding to return to the game at a grassroots level.
He said, “I’m really looking forward to finally experiencing football from a completely different perspective again – where it’s solely about the sport itself and not about business or money.”
The move is unlikely to affect major betting markets, but it may spark interest in lower‑league transfers.
