UEFA has imposed fines on four Premier League clubs for breaching financial sustainability regulations. Aston Villa has been fined €22.5m, with €15m of that amount suspended, and will face restrictions on registering new players for the upcoming Champions League season.
Chelsea has been fined €3m, with €2m suspended, while Nottingham Forest must pay €2.5m and Newcastle United €3m. Strasbourg, part of Chelsea's multi-club model, has also been fined €13m for breaching the squad cost rule.
The fines are part of UEFA's efforts to ensure clubs comply with financial regulations, particularly the squad cost ratio and football earnings threshold. The clubs have acknowledged the sanctions and are committed to ongoing compliance.
