Carlos Queiroz has stepped down as Ghana’s head coach after three months in charge, following the team’s 1‑0 defeat to Colombia in the World Cup round of 16.
Queiroz, 73, took over in April and guided Ghana to a third‑place finish in Group L before the knockout loss.
The departure makes Queiroz the second World Cup manager to leave his post on Sunday, joining Jordan Sellami of Morocco.
