ITV and BBC are planning to broadcast Fifa's full half-time show from Sunday's World Cup final at New York New Jersey Stadium, featuring Shakira, Madonna, and K-pop group BTS, curated by Coldplay's Chris Martin.
The broadcasters expect the interval to last 25 to 30 minutes, though the performance itself is projected at about 11 minutes, with additional time needed to set up and remove the stage from the pitch.
The show potentially breaches Ifab rules that limit half-time intervals to a maximum of 15 minutes, but Fifa is not believed to have received any pushback from Ifab on the decision.
