Manchester United are exploring options to strengthen their midfield, with Roma's Manu Kone and Brighton's Carlos Baleba under strong consideration. Sky Sports News reports that United are currently leading the race for France international Kone, who impressed at the World Cup.
Roma's demands for Kone are not expected to be as high as Brighton's valuation of Baleba. However, any move for either player is not imminent, as they are part of a long list of targets. United are also monitoring Bournemouth's Alex Scott, who has rejected a new contract.
Scott is also a target for Arsenal and Chelsea. Bournemouth are reluctant to sell the midfielder, who has two years left on his deal.
