Former German international Lothar Matthäus has voiced strong opposition to Julian Nagelsmann continuing as Germany's coach following their World Cup exit.

Matthäus specifically questioned the decision to allow players' families to be present from the beginning of the tournament, stating, "I still don't understand why families were there from the start of the World Cup? Travel, hotel bookings – this was discussed in the team, everyone was unhappy."

His comments highlight internal issues that may have contributed to Germany's early elimination from the tournament.
