Newcastle United has agreed to pay a €3m penalty and a further €7m suspended fine due to a breach of Financial Sustainability Regulations. The club has also been fined an additional €3m for breaching the 70% Squad Cost Ratio target in 2025. “Following an overspend in relation to UEFA's Football Earnings threshold, the club has worked closely and constructively with the Club Financial Control Body (CFCB) to swiftly resolve the matter.”
