PSG academy forward Mungenge joins Dynamo Kiev on 3-year deal

Pierre Mungenge has completed his move from Paris Saint-Germain's academy to Dynamo Kiev on a three-year professional contract. The 18-year-old French forward rejected PSG's offer to turn professional, choosing guaranteed senior minutes in Ukraine over reserve team football at the French giants.

Mungenge recorded 21 goals and 12 assists across 34 matches in PSG's U19 squad during the 2025–26 season. He made a single senior PSG appearance on 2 May against Lorient in Ligue 1, coming off the bench at the 75-minute mark, before departing.

The academy graduate's decision reflects the challenge young players face securing consistent first-team opportunities at elite clubs. Despite PSG's interest in professional terms, Mungenge opted for competitive senior football to accelerate his development.

Mungenge is expected to feature in Dynamo Kiev's Europa League first-round qualifier on 9 July against Romanian side FC Universitatea, providing immediate competitive experience unavailable at PSG.
