Ronaldinho, 46, has officially signed with Italian Serie C club Ravenna, ending an 11-year retirement from professional football. The Brazilian icon last played professionally for Fluminense in 2015.
The five-time Ballon d'Or winner said: "I cannot wait to dance with the ball. Football has always been joyful for me, and I'm excited to bring that spirit to Ravenna. Let the magic begin!"
Ravenna president Ignazio Cipriani, owner of the luxury Cipriani restaurant empire, stated: "Ronaldinho was my idol growing up. I hope his involvement inspires a new generation of supporters to fall in love with Ravenna."
Ronaldinho won the 2002 FIFA World Cup with Brazil and the Ballon d'Or in 2005. He previously played for AC Milan from 2008–2011, winning two Serie A titles with the Rossoneri.
