RTS apologizes after pundit's racist comments on live broadcast

Bogdanovic made the comments on Sunday during live coverage of the Belgium-Iran draw while discussing Belgian defender Nathan Ngoy's 66th-minute red card. He stated: "I have always said those players—and I'm really not racist—but Black players lack the concentration to last more than 60 to 80 minutes."

The 56-year-old former Atlético Madrid player and expert commentator doubled down on the remarks when challenged by the host, insisting that "the majority lack concentration."

RTS issued an official apology, stating: "We would like to take this opportunity to apologise, as a broadcaster, for the statement made in our programme concerning members of a particular race." Bogdanovic independently apologized to Reuters.
