Inter Milan have activated their €23 million buy-back clause to bring Aleksandar Stankovic back to San Siro from Club Brugge. The 20-year-old Serbian international midfielder starred for the Belgian club this season, recording nine goals and five assists across 55 competitive matches while helping secure the title.

Stankovic rejected proposals from both Tottenham Hotspur and Brentford, determined to develop his career at Inter where he emerged through the club's youth academy. His father Dejan Stankovic holds legendary status at the club, having won the Champions League with Inter in 2010.

The transfer provides midfield reinforcement following Denzel Dumfries' departure to Real Madrid. At 20, Stankovic adds creative depth to Inter's squad ahead of the 2026–27 Serie A campaign.
