Atalanta have completed the signing of 26‑year‑old midfielder Gianluca Gaetano from Cagliari for a reported €11 million plus performance bonuses.
The player, a product of the Napoli youth system, recorded three goals and four assists in 35 appearances for Cagliari last season.
New Atalanta coach Maurizio Sarri identified Gaetano as a key addition to replace departing midfielder Ederson.
